DHS Announcements

Hello,

This is John Marichak, Superintendent of the Dunmore School District.  I am calling in regards to Friday’s Graduation Ceremony.

Weather permitting, the ceremony is scheduled for 5 PM Friday evening.  There is a rain date for Saturday, July 18 at 5 PM.

There are restrictions on gatherings.  We have issued 2 tickets per graduate.  There cannot be any variation from this.  We are very close to the limits placed on gatherings by the Governor.

Everyone must enter on the Field House side of our stadium.  You are asked to self-monitor before you arrive.  If you do not feel well and have a cough, fever, sore throat or any of the symptoms of the pandemic, please be considerate of others and stay home.  You will pass a thermal-camera set up before the gate.  If your temperature is at, or above 100.4, you will not be admitted.  Every person must wear a mask for the entire ceremony.

There are markings on the bleachers that must be adhered to, they signify 6 feet of space.  Please respect this rule.  If you live in the same household, you can sit next to each other, but be sure that there is no one within 6 feet of you.  We have plenty of space to accomplish this.

The gates will open at 4:00 PM.  Please do not congregate at any point including after the ceremony.

This event will be live-streamed and will be available via a link on our website.  The link will be posted on our High School and District website.  We will send it out through our social media channels when it becomes available as well.

Let’s send our seniors off with the ceremony they deserve.

Thank You

John Marichak, Superintendent, Dunmore Schools

The Family ID program will formally begin on 7-20.

Registration Deadline 08/07/2020

ATTENTION: THIS REGISTRATION PROGRAM IS FOR STUDENTS WHO WILL BE COMPETING IN A FALLSPORT OF THE 2020-2021 YEAR.

Dear Parent/Guardian,

FamilyID is a secure registration platform that provides students and families with an easy, user-friendly way to register for our programs, and helps us to be more administratively efficient and environmentally responsible. When students and families register through FamilyID, the system keeps track of their information in a FamilyID profile. Students enter their information only one time regardless of the number of activities and events they participate in. The following are points of emphasis:

  • All information that used to be completed in the physical packet will now be entered online with the exception of Section 6 (the actual physical) - this will still be a hard copy that students must have completed by a doctor. Upon completion, students will be able to upload the form into their FamilyID account
  • **Please upload your Section 6 in the "Most Recent Physical" upload section located under Participant Information**
  • *ONLY SECTION 6 OF THE PIAA PACKET NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED
  • *You will not be able to play if you have not submitted a Section 6.*
  • For those who need a Section 6 packet, a link is located under the "Links" section to the right of the page.

Fall Sports Physicals for grades 7-12 will be held in the high school gym on July 30, 2020 (boys) and July 31, 2020 (girls) between 8am and noon. Masks will be required and social distancing will be practiced. Physicals will be by appointment only this year. Registration for physicals will close on July 28 at 11:59pm. No walk-in or late registration will be allowed. To sign up for an appointment, please use the following links:
